All rotaries and switches are made of aluminum and anodized for higher durability, making them vividly colourful.
Swapped the stock black rotary caps for the blue ones and the anodized aluminum matches the wheel's finish almost perfectly. The click feel on the switches didn't change at all, which is what I was hoping for. Small upgrade, but it makes the whole setup look way more custom.
I wasn't sure the anodized finish would feel any different than the stock caps, but these have a nice matte texture that doesn't smudge. The fit on my rotary encoders is tight with zero wobble. Genuinely a cheap way to make the wheel feel more custom.
Swapped the plain silver rotaries on my wheel for the blue anodized ones and they threaded on perfectly, no wobble at all. The anodizing has a nice deep finish that doesn't look cheap next to the aluminum wheel face. Took maybe ten minutes to do all six switches.
